ANTONGIULIO PANIZZI

Antongiulio Panizzi, is a director and tv producer with a degree in architecture. During the last fifteen years he has been working for the main Italian networks, in mostly cultural entertainment and docu-reality shows.

He has directed the documentary “My Way – The Rise And Fall Of Silvio Berlusconi”, written by Alan Friedmn and distributed on Netflix, the docuementary “Piano Lessons – the life and art of German Diez”, with the support of American Liszt Soceiety, on air on Sky Classica and Amazon Prime, and the film documentary “The Girl In The Fountain” about Anita Ekberg, with Monica Bellucci.

He worked in the United States, especially in New York where, amongst other works, he realized his first theatrical piece: Horatio, at the HERE theater in Manhattan.

His work in Televsion includes mainly nature and travel shows, 
and docu-reality.

In order to film nature shows and entertainment programs he traveled through Italy and many parts of the world, from Australia to Iceland, from Peru to Malaysia, from China to the American West Coast, and also the Volcano Etna erupting, the glaciers of Stelvio and many other places.

He was the producer of reality shows such as the Italian “queer eye for the straight guy”, Big Brother, and of a variety of segments for magazines and talk shows.

Several short films he directed were received with great acclaim by Italian critics and won awards at Italian film festivals.

Gaia, the prime time nature show on Rai 3, has been awarded best science program in Italian TV under Antongiulio’s direction.

He recently completed the script of his feature film, a comedy.
